Cavalry™ Envoy is a convenient premix of a proprietary NPE-free surfactant, humectant and ammonium sulfate based water conditioning agent which improves the ability of the spray droplets to enter the plant and maximize pesticide performance. The proprietary nonionic surfactant and humectant combine to improve pesticide coverage and uptake, while also maintaining ammonium sulfate in a soluble form. This minimizes salt crystallization on the leaf surface, allowing for optimal herbicide and ammonium uptake into the plant.

Ammonium sulfate serves two distinct functions as an adjuvant. It supplies ammonium, which combines with glyphosate and other pesticides to improve uptake and translocation. It also has water conditioning attributes, by bonding the sulfate portion with hard water cations.

Glufosinate’s primary mode of action is the inhibition of nitrogen metabolism, leading to ammonia accumulation and plant cell death. By minimizing ammonium crystallization on the leaf surface and increasing uptake of glufosinate ammonium, Cavalry Envoy helps maximize glufosinate efficacy.
